Gill and Jules' adventure continues.....With the prince (who bears a great resemblance to Gill) dead, Gill must now take his place and be crowned king. But in order to do this, he must bed the queen, who openly shows her disgust for Gill.
Gill has reservations about going through with the plan. The queen is not exactly willing, and Gill has his sights set on another....the mysterious Marie. Will he be able to go through with it?

A perplexing writer who shows signs of being from another place/time. Her reluctance to get to know Gill wanes after a magical afternoon down by the stream allows a glimpse into who she really is.
The further introduction of supporting characters and their personalities further lends to create a glimpse into their life in 1154 France. The possibilty of new romances adds suspense to this already exhilirating story. It is nice to see how Gill's character is developing into a more mature young man who takes other's feeling into consideration before his own. I can't wait to read the next installment.

Once again, I was captivated into the story!
Quite enjoyed learning of Marie and her place in Gill's Life! Happy the next book is out soon
Great story finds new elements! Gills story grows in depth and substance. Marie brings an element of mystery and magic that brings the story to life. Gill is a character you love to cheer for and find yourself laughing at his wild antics. Loved the story and can't wait for the next book on this dynamic series.
Really enjoyed this episode of Dodson's Curse of Lanval. Gill is definitely growing on me and the character of Marie is intriguing. Carried straight on to book 3.
If you liked Mirrors, get ready to be amazed! I didn't think it could get better, but this one blows the first away, and that is saying something! This book is all about Gill's Lady in Red, Marie. She is smart, funny, and mysterious, and you'll fall in love with her! I honestly cannot wait for the next book in this series! Rebekah Dodson has done it again!
Marie brings you back to 1154 with Gill Lanval and his sister Jules as the try to not get killed in 12th century France and England. Only this time Gill has to become the prince, wed the queen, and make everyone believe its true. But all he wants is Marie. More turmoil, twists, plotting and Gill and his F-bombs coming your way! If you're a prude, these books aren't for you.
Rebekah Dodson's ability to keep you turning the pages is no different in this, book 2 of The Curse of Lanval series. The pace really picks up in this book, Gill still provides us with his first person view. It truly seems that there is a curse. Every direction Gill turns he seems to sink knee deep in it. He meets Marie and knows from that moment that there is more to this girl than anyone knows. Each time he seems to be making headway in figuring her out, she takes flight. Jules seems to have found some sort of happiness at the castle but is quite secretive about it, yes we are kept in the dark on all of it. Tune in for book 3!! 👍
